Support for infertility, IVF, pregnancy loss, and the emotional challenges of building a family

Infertility & Reproductive Mental Health Therapy

Infertility and fertility treatment can bring a unique kind of stress—one that can affect your relationships, identity, body, work, friendships, and ability to plan for the future. The cycle of appointments, procedures, waiting, hope, disappointment, and difficult decisions can become exhausting and isolating.

I provide infertility and reproductive mental health therapy for individuals and couples navigating fertility struggles, IVF and other fertility treatments, pregnancy loss, and the many emotional complexities that can accompany building a family.

Therapy is available in person in Newport Beach, California, and virtually throughout California.

Therapy During Infertility & IVF

Fertility treatment often asks you to continue functioning in everyday life while managing an enormous amount of uncertainty behind the scenes. You may find yourself moving from one appointment, procedure, or milestone to the next while trying to manage anxiety about what happens if treatment doesn't go as hoped.

Therapy can provide a space to process what you're experiencing without having to minimize it, explain it, or protect the people around you from how you're really feeling.

I work with clients navigating:

  • Infertility and difficulty conceiving

  • IVF, IUI, and other fertility treatments

  • Pregnancy loss and recurrent miscarriage

  • Failed transfers and unsuccessful treatment cycles

  • Anxiety during treatment and waiting periods

  • Grief following loss or unsuccessful treatment

  • Treatment fatigue and burnout

  • Decisions about continuing, pausing, or ending treatment

  • Changes in identity, self-esteem, and body image

  • Pregnancy after infertility or loss

  • Isolation or difficulty connecting with friends and family

  • Alternative paths to building a family

Couples Therapy

Infertility doesn't happen in isolation. Fertility struggles and treatment can place significant pressure on even strong relationships.

Partners often experience and cope with infertility differently. One person may want to talk about treatment constantly while the other needs space. You may disagree about finances, timelines, treatment decisions, or how long to continue. Sex and intimacy can begin to feel connected to schedules, procedures, or disappointment rather than connection.

Couples therapy provides a place to understand each other's experiences, communicate more effectively, work through difficult decisions, and protect the relationship while navigating an incredibly stressful chapter together.

An Approach Informed by Clinical and Lived Experience

My work with infertility and reproductive mental health is informed by both my clinical experience and my own experience navigating fertility struggles, pregnancy loss, and IVF.

Your experience will be uniquely yours. At the same time, I understand how consuming the family-building process can become—the appointments, medications, waiting, losses, difficult decisions, and the experience of trying to continue everyday life while something incredibly important remains uncertain.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner with more than a decade of clinical experience working with individuals and couples.

My approach integrates Somatic Experiencing, CBT, attachment-based therapy, mindfulness, and practical coping strategies to help clients manage anxiety, grief, overwhelm, relationship stress, and the emotional toll of prolonged fertility treatment.

I am also a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and pursue ongoing education in reproductive mental health and family building.
